Robert E. Gogerty
Chairman Bob Gogerty has been the force behind Gogerty Stark Marriott's innovative approach to public affairs. He continues to lead strategic planning efforts on behalf of Gogerty Stark Marriott clients, in addition to heading selected project teams.
 
He has served as the principal consultant for The Boeing Company, AT&T, Paul Allen's Football Northwest and Weyerhaeuser. Among the projects he has led are Boeing's internal communications following integration with McDonnell Douglas and following AT&T's acquisition of TCI. For AT&T, he developed and headed a unique multidisciplinary national team that draws on expertise from multiple firms to execute communications quickly, anytime and anywhere they are needed.
 
He also headed the successful voter-approved campaign providing for the development of a $3.9 billion rapid transit system in the Puget Sound region. Ongoing projects where Gogerty is the lead consultant include working with AT&T on repositioning efforts and the Cowlitz Tribe on siting a major casino and resort. Gogerty previously served as deputy mayor of the City of Seattle and director of the city's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. He has managed a number of political campaigns over the years, as well as serving as chairperson of Washington Governor Mike Lowry's 1992 campaign and as chief strategist to Alaska Governor Tony Knowles' 1994 campaign.
 
He is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants and serves on the Board of Trustees for Childhaven, a nationally recognized non-profit program for the prevention and treatment of child abuse.
