Patrick McRoberts
Patrick McRoberts, who rejoined Gogerty Stark Marriott in 2003, was one of the firm's earliest employees, having first come to the company in 1984 and leaving to start his own public affairs consulting firm in 1996. He later worked for APCO Worldwide, becoming a vice president in the firm's Seattle office. He currently provides project management and strategic writing services for The Boeing Company, Swedish Medical Center and the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, among other clients.
 
McRoberts has experience in coalition building, litigation communications, earned media and public opinion research, serving as director of research for Gogerty Stark Marriott in the 1980s and 1990s and continuing to direct public opinion research for his own firm and APCO. Working with design experts, he has managed the creative process for a diverse range of communications materials, including direct mail and advertising. He has written speeches, op-eds and presentations for various corporate CEOs, executives and elected officials.
 
McRoberts was project manager for Weyerhaeuser Company during critical labor negotiations and the refocusing of its corporate communications around recycling and conservation. He has worked for such diverse corporate clients as Ford Motor Company, the Walt Disney Company and Microsoft. He has also provided communications services to political campaigns, such as the successful effort to build the Seattle Seahawks stadium, and major associations, such as the Partnership for Learning and the Washington Education Association.
 
McRoberts has a master's degree in journalism from the University of Iowa and a master of fine arts degree in fiction writing from the distinguished Iowa Writers Workshop.
